Faster Runners Workshop.

26 & 27 October – Moove Gym, Sunninghill.
Saturday 9 to 3 and Sunday 9 to 1 pm. 

R 2300. 
Price includes: Saturday and Sunday coffee and biscuits, bottled water, Saturday lunch pack, flow rope, Moove gym access for the two days,  individual video analysis, the workshop and workbook, 10 weeks follow up via Whatsapp. 

The goal is to get runners to run more efficiently and faster while reducing their chance of injury. There will be some running sessions during the seminar, but none of them overly long. We will look at head position, breathing, the link between the rib cage and hips and ankles, the pivotal role of the spine and it’s rotation mechanisms, the most important tendon of all and how to make it more springy, the role of the all-important big toe, body imbalances and how to restore optimal mobility.

It turns out that there are many lessons we can learn from the best and when you combine a mix of physics and anatomical truths you can change a persons running for the good.

Indoor sessions will involve interactive lectures and discussions, supplemented by mobility drills aimed at priming the body for improved running mechanics. Additionally, participants will engage with flow ropes to explore the interplay between key body parts such as shoulders and hips.

We will move off to run from time to time to put what we have learnt into practice. Video footage will be captured of each runner for further analysis. The runs will be short and will work for both speedy and slower runners.
After the seminar, I will set up a WhatsApp group and send reminders and pointers a few times a week for a total of 10 weeks so that the things we learnt together can become habitual.

I believe that many will be able to run between 20 to 30 seconds per km faster than their inefficient selves.

Booking will be on a first-come, first-served basis, full payment secures your booking. No refunds will be given, but bookings can be deferred to the next seminar up to two weeks prior to the event.
