Cape Town Marathon – Dullstroom Camp – 20 to 22nd September 2024.

We are hosting another running camp. This time it’s to make sure that you are ready for the Cape Town Marathon. If you can survive the Dullstroom hills and the lack of oxygen, you will breeze through Cape Town Marathon.

Friday afternoon.  5 km group run that will incorporate an Efficient Runner Workshop.
We will look at all aspects of your running gait. The scientific consensus is that if you take two athletes who are equally fit, the runner who is more efficient toward the end of an endurance event will take the win.

Friday Evening. Team Supper.

Saturday morning. 32 km long run.

Saturday afternoon. 1 hour Cape Town Marathon nutrition, pacing etc. chat with Q&A.

Team supper afterwards at a local restaurant.

Sunday morning. Hill repeat session.
The legs will be tired, but, the hills pay the bills and the celebration afterwards is just amazing.

 

Then, pack your car and meet for some well deserved pancakes afterwards.

Please find your own accommodation and sort your own food out.

Cost basic. R 1400. This is to be paid in full and camp slots will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

We are restricting the camp size.

Part of the tradition is to take a “Mean” runner photo. This was the photo from our recently held Comrades Camp in Dullstroom.

We will be doing lactate, glucose and hydration monitoring during the 32 km run –  R 300 extra.

Water, bananas, and sweets will be provided on the runs with vehicle backup along the route.

I really believe that this will add tremendous value to your Cape Town Marathon prep.
