Half Ironman Coaching for the Time Crunched Athlete.

An Ironman 70.3 is an achievable goal. The event will leave you exhilarated as you run down the red carpet knowing that you have just completed a major achievement. A major thing that stops a lot of athletes from entering a 70.3 is the fear that they won’t have enough time to train. So, I have worked really carefully on a format that will get you to the start line with 18 weeks of consistent training behind you. The format is adjustable so that we can fit it in to your busy life style.

This is what I need from you. A background of having competed in at least one 5150, with current aerobic training of 3 to 4 hours per week.

Your biggest week will have you training for 10 hours, with your average week consisting of  6 hours of training.

The program takes 18 weeks and so we would need to get you going by the end of January should you want to compete in the upcoming Durban 70.3 – 7 June 2020. We can get you started now already with a basic program. That will give us a chance to work on your weak points so that we get a really smooth transition into the actual training block. We can change the dates for any of the full Ironmen events that you want to compete in around the world. Athletes joining the program during the month will be charged on a pro rata basis.

I charge R 725 per month (2019 price) and R775 per month from Jan 2020, for the online coaching, advice etc and membership with Training Peaks, the app that I use to communicate the program with you. For added benefits that we offer, please go to the coaching page.

I will be competing as well and so we will get together on the Saturday for an ocean swim and a run along the promenade that will get you ready for the big day. We will sit down after that and go through any last questions that you might have.
